Gulzhan's story

Gulzhan is 54 years old, married, and the mother of four children (3 sons and a daughter). She has a secondary education. By nature, she is very hard-working, friendly and responsible. SInce 1991, farming has been the primary source of income fore her family. She started this business with 35,000 som (KGS). Because of her hard work, Gulzhan now has three cows, and 2.1 hectares of land where she grows clover for feed. She sells organic milk. Her monthly income is about 15,000 som. In order to further develop her business, Gulzhan asked the bank Bai -Tushum for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows to increase milk production. Gulzhan plans to invest profits from the loan back into the business.
