Zaitoon's story

Zaitoon is the age of 55 and a mother of six children living with her spouse in the area of Multan, Pakistan. Her son is responsible to fulfill the needs of the entire family. Her son is a driver by profession. He provides transportation services using his auto rickshaw. He has been driving an auto rickshaw for one year to meet the family’s expenses. Now, the condition of auto rickshaw is very bad.

Therefore, Zaitoon’s son wants to buy a new auto rickshaw for proper transportation services but due to insufficient financial means her son is unable to. Therefore, Zaitoon has applied for a KIVA loan from its field partner BRAC Pakistan. With the help of this loan, Zaitoon can buy an auto rickshaw for her son’s transport business, to provide the proper transportation services to earn an income.
