A loan helped buy an electrical generator for use when electricity is cut off from the family house.

Tahani's story

Tahani is a 29-year-old married woman from Gaza city, which is located in the Gaza Strip and suffers from power outages 12-16 hours a day regularly.

She lives with her husband and one child in a small house. As an employee in the public sector, her husband earns a low income. This income barely covers all the family's needs. One year ago, Tahani decided to open an educational center. She prepared one room in her home and started with 4 students

Because she is not able to save enough money, Tahani took a USD loan from FATEN. With this loan, she will buy an electrical generator for use it when electricity is cut off from the family house and educational center.

Palestinians are dependent on electricity in all walks of life, and the lack of electricity create a big problem and a generator has become the main alternative in every home.
