Alba is 31 years old and lives in a small borrowed house. She is the single mother of two children, ages 13 and 7 years old.
Alba, like most of the inhabitants in the region, makes a living from activities related to agriculture and day labor. Alba works very hard to be able to educate her children. Alba has a small parcel of land where she grows fava beans and potatoes.
The purpose of the loan she is requesting is to buy compost and fertilizers for her crops. She hopes to be able to have a good harvest with good profits, as she dreams of buying a piece of land where she can build her own house one day, and be able to provide stability to her children.
