A loan helped to pay for things needed in making peanut butter like gas (for cooking), peanuts, white and brown sugar, cooking oil, bottles and others.

Lina's story

For 11 years, Lina of Payatas, Quezon City, Philippines, has been earning by making peanut butter. She was able to send her children who are now working with the help of this sweet business. Her supportive husband is always there for her and their family as he works as a taxi driver. She is 59 years old while her husband is 58. Aside from making and selling peanut butter, she also sells different kinds of tidbits mostly made of rice.

To have added capital and to help expand her business, she would like to borrow PHP 30,000. This will be a huge assistance in buying ingredients for her peanut butter business. She is thankful in advance for those who will give assistance to her business. She hopes that her business grows bigger and that she will have her own store for easy customer access.

Lina is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and pay microfinance loans.
