Kisakye Busega Group's story

Harriet is the chairperson of Kisakye group and resides in Busega, Kampala. She is an enterprising woman who sells beans, matooke and Irish potatoes in a Busega market.

She applied for a loan of 1,000,000 Uganda shillings at Ugafode Microfinance. She wants to use the loan in purchasing beans before the season runs out.

Harriet is working so hard to provide for and educate her children since her husband is bedridden.

Harriet appreciates the support that Kiva funders are giving the local communities to improve their livelihoods.

The extra person at the extreme right is the UGAFODE credit staff in charge of the group.
