Kyar Ga Yat - 1 Village's story

Kyar Ga Yat – 1 Village Group is located in the Delta Area of Myanmar in Dedaye Township, which currently has around 170 households. Most people in the village work mainly in farming, sewing, and raising livestock. Pictured above are Myat, Chin, Kyaw, Khin, and Thein (five group leaders ), who oversee 17 members in the village loan group.

Myat (second from left) is a father of four children and works as a farmer on his own land. Myat has many years of farming experience and aims to purchase more land by the end of this year. He works very hard and is saving money for his children to start their own businesses. He wants them to be independent and educated.

Myat and his fellow group members will use this new loan to purchase crop seeds and pay for daily laborers. All loan customers are very excited for this upcoming loan and are thankful to Kiva for supporting them.
