Maria is a 37 year old woman who lives with her partner. She has two sons, aged 6 and 8, and a 10 year old daughter, and she works making leather clothes.
She works at the ’16 de julio’ market, which is known for its huge variety of products, where you can buy anything from a pin to a truck.
Maria shares her life with her partner, who works in the same business. She works making leather clothes, which she started doing with her partner so that they could have their own business. She makes the clothes at home and has a sewing machine and various tools such as a riveter and other sewing-related tools. The clothes are sold from their fixed stall, where they have mannequins and hangers to display the items of clothing, including jackets, vests, caps, wallets and anything you can imagine being made of leather.
"I started by selling door to door and delivering exclusive clothing orders," she says. Her business is successful because they make unique clothes. The advantage of her business is that she has good sales and the disadvantage is that she does not have an industrial leather sewing machine to replace the previous one, which is in poor condition.
Her dream is to own her own house. She wants to buy a leather sewing machine and wholesale leather. This is her first loan from the institution in 10 years of carrying out this activity.
For these reasons, Maria is requesting a loan to buy wholesale leather and a leather sewing machine for making clothes.
