Kisakye- Kirinya Bweyogerere Group's story

Kisakye- Kirinya Bweyogerere loan group is begining its third loan cycle with UGAFODE Microfinance. It is made up of six members and is led by Aisha. The businesses that the members of the communal loan group carry out are varied, and among them are: food sales, charcoal sales, clothing sales, vegetable sales, and cosmetic sales.

The loan that they will get will benefit the small micro-entrepreneurs of the group. Eva is one of the group members. She says that two years ago she joined the group through a massive invitation that was made in her zone. Currently, she has a business of selling charcoal. She started this business because it has assured customers; most low income earners use charcoal for cooking.

She will use this loan to purchase more stock of charcoal, which she will get from the village at a low cost. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family economically, since she is single and has two children.
