Emmanuel's story

I was born and raised in the rural areas of Kisumu and as a family lived simple rural life because my parents were unemployed but were farmers. Every day I accompanied my father to garden before I went to school thus gaining various farming skills. After completing secondary school, I supported my parents in farming till I had saved enough money to start a dream career which I had been planning to start which was bee keeping. I secured training on keeping bees from an international NGO operating in the rural Kisumu then after completing the training, I used part of my saving to buy one bee hive and protective clothes. My business has steadily grown and look forward to expanding the business.
