Abagambakamu Kyakajaka Group's story

Prime Rose a member of the Abagambakamu Kyakajaka Group and is in need of a loan to buy retail items such as sugar and soap to sell. She is a married woman aged 27, who is residing in Hoima Uganda.

She started with crop production, but later was inspired to also do retail business in order to supplement her income. For the last seven years she has been in business which has enabled her to improve the family’s standards of living. Despite her progress, she complains of bad debtors, competition and high commodity prices. Her dream is establishing a big supermarket in town and maintaining all her businesses.

She is in a group where members guarantee each other to obtain a group loan, without pledging any security.
