A loan helped to purchase sacks of coconuts for resale.

Farida's story

Farida is a married woman with seven children all of whom attend school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.

For the past ten years, she has operated a coconut selling business, selling to local neighbors. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business.

With the KES 30,000 she wants to purchase sacks of coconuts for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to increase her business.

This loan is special because:

It finances small entrepreneurs in the Kenyan coastal region.
