A farmer who is living in a Banteay Meanchey Province, Chhoeurm is 40 years old. She is married and has five children. To feed her children, she grows rice, which is the important source of income, and she also uses her spare time from rice farming to sell grocery items to earn additional income. She has been engaged with this business around 20 years and she can generate 11 USD per day to earn a living. After deducting from daily income, she can save about 6.50 USD each day. Lacking of water to support on her rice business is the main challenge for her.
This is the second time for her and her group member with VisionFund. As the leader of the group of two members, Chhoeurm will manage her loan portion to buy fertilizer to support on her rice plantation, which she is expected to increase more crops productivity.
