A loan helped a member to re-establish further his food vending business by increasing his sacks of rice, charcoal, paraffin, cooking oil and more bags of maize and beans.

Delina Group's story

Mushi, 48, is a married man and a father of three schooling kids. He has worked as a local food vendor famously known as "Baba-Lishe" for about 10 years now. He normally opens his food stall from 6 am to 8 pm daily and he's able to make some good profit.

This will be his third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Mushi invested his previous loan on his food vending business where he added more sacks of rice, he bought a 500 liter water tank for water restoration and renovated his store to attract more customers. Right now he's happy that he has cleared all of his credits, paid school fees for his schooling children and started building his own house.

Mushi clearly appreciates Kiva for all the good support given to his loan group, which is now doing great. He applied for this loan to re-establish further his food vending business by increasing his sacks of rice, charcoal, paraffin, cooking oil and more bags of maize and beans. He believes with such addition he will be able to realize more profit, which he plans to invest such profit into his poultry activities.

He will share this loan with his loan group member in the "Delina" group who will hold each other accountable for paying back the entire loan at maturity.

In this group: Elihose, Mushi
