40-year-old Megala seeks a loan to start her wire bag making business. She has been trained under Gramalaya Microfin Foundation. She is now confident of starting her own business but lacks sufficient funds to do so.
Megala lives with her family in the Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu. She currently works as a daily wage labourer on agricultural fields. The income she earns from that work is not only irregular but is insufficient as well.
Megala is the leader of a group of five women. Like Megala, they have all undergone training to strat their own micro-businesses. They just need financial funding. They have thus come together to apply for a loan. The loan will help these women contribute to the family’s needs and their children’s education. They are grateful to their lenders.
