When a lender is either "Anonymous" or does not have mappable location information (which (s)he voluntarily listed in their lender page profile), the activity is shown on the map as originating from Kiva's headquarters in San Francisco, CA. To be listed as "Anonymous" and have your location anonymized, edit your profile and check the "Display Name" option which says "Anonymous - The information below will not be shown if you select 'Anonymous'."

If your activity is currently mapped at Kiva's headquarters and you want to correct it, make sure your City (optional), State/Province and Country are properly filled out in your profile. While City is optional, the State/Province and Country fields are required to map your activity.

When a borrower is listed as "Anonymous" then the line is drawn to the center of field partner's country, rather than the borrower's location.

Clicking on site activity in the ticker will redraw that activity on the map.
