A loan helped a member to restock a variety of ladies clothes in preparation for the festive season when demand for clothing is very high.

Diamond Sapphire Group's story

Hazvinei is a 32 year old lady from the Diamond Sapphire group. When she came to Thrive in 2013 with her group mates, her cross border business was very small and seasonal. She relied on small orders from her clients in her neighbourhood and these were mainly clothing items. The clothing items that she restocked from South Africa took time to be paid for since they were all sold on credit. This rather long business cycle was not helping her to sustain her household which consists of two school going children.

Hazinei and her colleagues appreciate the training and loans that they have received from Thrive to date. Her business has grown from being a seasonal business activity to a daily market table at a major shopping centre in Harare. Her business has flourished and has had a ripple effect of creating employment. She now has one employee who assists her at the busy market.
A Kiva loan of $800 will help Hazvinei to restock a variety of ladies clothes in preparation for the festive season when demand for clothing is very high.
