A loan helped to purchase more equipment for her husband's rental business.

Sima's story

Sima is a rural woman of 27 years who hails from a remote village at Kandi in the district Murshidabad. She is married and a mother of two young daughters who are student of different grades.

Sima's husband, Debnarayan, has been running a rental business in which he gives musical items on rent such as microphones, speakers, etc. for various occasions like marriage ceremonies, birthday parties, festivals etc. The business is lucrative and has the potential of being a good source of income.

As the festive season is coming near, the couple wants to avail the opportunity and thus Sima is requesting a loan from BJS (Kiva's partner) to purchase more musical equipment for her husband’s business.

She hopes this will enable her to meet the customers' demands and bring good earnings for the financial stability of her family. The increased income will help to run her daughters’ education costs and put savings aside to use in any future emergency.

Sima and her husband are thankful to BJS and Kiva.
