A loan helped to pay all the educational fees and purchase education articles for her elder daughter.

Majida's story

Majida is a typical rural housewife of 28 years hailing from Falakata. Her family consists of five members: her husband and three children (two daughters and one son). They all are studying in grade 11, 10 and 7, respectively. Majida lives at Baganbari village in Falakata.

Majida's 16-year-old daughter, Abeda, is a commendable student of Khirerkote High School. She reads in grade 11. She scored good marks in her last Board exam. She is very serious about her studies and always wants to get good marks in the exams.

In the future, Abeda wants to join the police department, so she needs the special guidance of a private tutor and some books for her present academic year. She wants to join in the coaching classes because she knows education is the only base to build a career.

Though her father is engaged in furniture making work, he hardly meets the household expenses, and it seems like a difficult task now to bear the educational costs for her. To support Abeda’s education, Majida is seeking an education loan from Kiva’s field partner BJS. She hopes this financing will allow her daughter to continue her studies without any financial problems.

Majida and Abeda (as shown in the photo) convey their heartiest thanks to BJS and Kiva.
