Salorn, 37 years old, lives in a rural village of the Kampong Cham province. She is a mother of five children, three of whom are in school and other two are too young.
She earns income to support her family via rice cropping on 2 1/2 hectares. Moreover, she can get more income via fish-catching. Her rice was destroyed by insects, so she get little yield from her farm. This is first time for Salorn with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She leads a group of four members to get a new loan. As the group leader, she will manage her loan portion to buy fertilizer to support her farming. She hopes that she can get more income to support on her children’s education.
