A loan helped to purchase farm inputs to increase his yields.

Amadu's story

Amadu is a Babban Gona farmer from Badamasi Village. He joined Babban Gona so that he could realize better yields on his farm. Since joining Babban Gona, Amadu no longer has to worry about having inadequate income to expand his farm.

Through Babban Gona’s input loan, Amadu will have access to top-of-the-range farm inputs such as fertilizer, herbicide, and improved seeds that will help him improve his yields to up to 30 bags of maize per hectare, double the national average in Nigeria. His loan will help to considerably increase his income. Thanks to Babban Gona’s support, Amadu now has the opportunity to acquire more land to put into the Babban Gona program.
