Sovannary, a farmer living in Bovel district of Battambang province, is 49 years old. She lives with three dependent children, two of whom are studying in high school. To support her family, she grows rice on three hectares of farmland. This is her first time with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner).
The leader for this group of three members, Sovannary will spend her loan portion to buy pesticides, fertilizers, seeds, and plow the field to grow rice. She hopes that she can earn more income to update her family’s living conditions.
