A loan helped to buy a dairy cow.

Lucio's story

Lucio, 64, is a hardworking and very responsible man who earns a living exclusively in agriculture. His family is made up of his two children, ages 18 and 28, and a 6-year-old granddaughter. His children help him with the preparation, planting, harvest, and post-harvest agricultural tasks growing basic grains.

Lucio has worked in agriculture since he worked with his father growing corn, beans, and millet. He has learned a lot from his father about how to take care of a crop so it can produce more. He also has five cows that he's feeding so that, when they're producing milk, he can make dairy products to have a source of income and to improve his children's nutrition.

He needs the loan to buy a dairy cow to make cheese to sell. The price tends to go up this time of year and he hopes to improve his income by selling dairy products.

His dream is to keep on growing basic grains to feed his children. He also wants to buy more cattle in the future so he can improve his income little by little.
