Nancy Patricia's story

The "El Nuevo Amanecer" communal bank meets every fortnight in the city of Manta. It is known for it's beautiful beaches that are well visited all year round and for being a city of unparalleled beauty with many tourist attractions.

Nancy lives here. She is 50 years old. married and from this relationship has 3 children. Two of them are adults and the other is 17 and studying in Secondary school. Her husband doesn't work because of his health.

Nancy besides being a great mother and wife works in commerce to make some money for herself. She has a store in her house where she sells gas for domestic use and bottled water and she also raises pigs. Every time she sells her animals she make good profits. She sells the water and gas at her store and her husband helps her delivering to homes. He has a car with he uses to do this, although the majority of sales are at the store. She has done this business for 6 years and things are going well.

She will use this loan to buy gas for domestic use, water and feed for the pigs. She has been in the communal bank since it's inception and she likes it for the help that the institute provides. Her dream is for her son to become a professional.
