Twebaze Lending Group's story

B. Solome is the chairperson of the Twebaze lending group in Jungo. She is 40 years old, married and has 7 children, all attending school. She also cares for 2 orphan children belonging to her late brother, including paying their school fees, clothing, medical care and general upkeep. Solome has a retail shop business that she has been running for over 5 years. The loans have been used to re-invest into her business, enabling her to buy more stock in her shop like sugar, soap, cooking oil, salt, maize flour, etc The profits she earns are used for her children's school fees. Solome's husband is a farmer. He sells his harvests locally as well as at the large farmers market in Kibuye. Solome is requesting a loan to help her with restocking her shop in preparation for the beginning of the school term which is next month.
