A loan helped to buy a motorbike to commute to work.

Phy's story

Phy is a 32-year-old married construction worker with four children who lives in the Siem Reap province of Cambodia. She has been a worker for nearly ten years. Three of her children attend school. Her husband is 36 and he is also a construction worker. Together, they can earn $12 per day. Every day Phy and her husband go to work on their brother’s old motorbike and it always needs repair. Now Phy would like to request a loan to buy a motorbike to commute to work. With her own motorbike, she will be able to improve her traveling conditions and reduce repair expenses. For her plans, she wants to sell fish at the market instead of working as a worker. She also wants to build a new house and support her children to finish high school.
