A loan helped a member to buy materials for building a decent latrine, including a latrine bowl, tile draining and sewage.

Sang's Group's story

Originally from a village of the Korng Pisey District where rice farming is a common way to make a living, Sang is a 37-year-old mother of two dependent children. Rice farming is the main source of the family’s income, which she and her husband have been doing for 19 years. Drought is the main challenge for her business.

This is the first microloan for Sang with Kiva’s partner. Now leading her group of four to apply for a loan, Sang, who is the leader, will use her portion to buy materials for building a decent latrine, including a latrine bowl, tile draining and sewage. She hopes to have a clean latrine for her family to use.
