Mary's story

Mary is a 29-year-old woman. She is married to Dominic, who earns additional income to support their family. They are blessed with three children.



To earn a living, for five years, Mary has been both a livestock farmer and an agricultural farmer. By doing so, she typically earns income in the amount of approximately 5,000 KES per month.



Mary was introduced to VisionFund Kenya by a friend and is now servicing her first loan in the amount of 5,000 KES through VisionFund Kenya. She intends to use the loan proceeds to buy animal feed, seedlings and fertilizers. Mary plans to use the anticipated income generated from the loan to pay for her children's school fees. More generally, she hopes to become a successful businesswoman with a bright future.
