Josephine's story

Josephine lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with two children and both go to school. She sells second-hand clothes at the market on a retail basis. She has been in business for the last five years. She works seven days a week.

Josephine has requested a loan of Ugandan shillings 500,000 from MCDT- SACCO to buy a bale of used clothes. Her major business challenges include transportation and seasonality. Her goal is to build permanent business premises to work from home. She lives in her own house and the family has access to electricity but does not have access to piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees and food.
