A loan helped to purchase more chicks and feed.

Edith's story

Edith is a businesswoman from Chikomba East District of Zimbabwe. She is a Camfed Learner Guide volunteer who mentors secondary school students. Further, Edith started her poultry project in 2012; she produces 150 broiler birds every six weeks. Then she sells them to local residents.

Edith started her business because she saw the high demand for meat in her community. She will use the Kiva loan to purchase broiler chicks and chick feed in bulk. Edith hopes to provide for her family and remain financially independent.
