A loan helped a member to maintain banana plants.

Grupo Pajoca 3 Group's story

Magdalena is 26 years old. She is an enterprising woman and is determined to overcome in life. She does not stop winning due to the obstacles life puts in her way, but rather she reaches all of her goals and dreams. She has three children to support. The first already works in order to help with the family's economic resources, and the last two are excellent students at the community school. (She is the 1st from left to right and is the one wearing a blue blouse.)

She obtains her income through banana plant production in the community where she lives. Her parents taught her this work 18 years ago. She sells her produce in the market and in the areas surrounding her community, and in this way she has an income to improve her family's living conditions.

She will use the loan to maintain banana plants, since it is very important for her that her banana plants produce top-quality fruit so as not to lose the customers she counts on.

She is a good example in her community and that is why a group of women have decided to undertake the business with her and thus improve their family's living conditions. One of her great aspirations is to plant more banana plants and watch her children grow educationally and become professionals in life.
