A loan helped to buy seedlings such as yams, corn, beans, fertilizers, and pay for the clearing of the farm.

Solomon's story

He is married and blessed with five children. They all live in a five-bedroom apartment in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon. He has faced some difficulties in life which are sickness and the death of his son who was supportive to his family. He has also faced land problems after the death of his father, and inadequate capital. Starting up an income generating activity in life was also not possible for him.

With this new loan requested, he will buy his seedlings such as beans, corn and yams. Part of this loan will be used to buy fertilizer and for the clearing of the farm. He believes that this activity will succeed because he has been working on the farm with his parents since childhood. Also the high demand for food crops in the local market makes a ready marketing source.

With the profit from the loan, he will pay for his children’s education and provide good medication for his family. He prefers GHAPE loans because of low interest rates, convenient repayment intervals and also the trainings offered to members before loans are disbursed.
