A loan helped to buy a motorbike for her daughters to drive to work.

Sokhom's story

Sokhom is 44 years old and lives in a village about thirty kilometers from Phnom Penh City. She has five children - one son and four daughters. Two of her children are garment factory workers and the others attend school.

Sokhom and her husband are rice farmers. In addition, her husband is also a construction worker when he is not at the farm.

Sokhom wants to buy a motorcycle for her daughters to drive to work. Because her daughters commute to work by bicycling, taking a bicycle is tiring, and they are not on time. Hence, Sokhom decided to apply for a loan in order to make the purchase.
