A loan helped to pay her son’s tuition fee.

Pey's story

Originally from a village of the Kampong Svay district, where rice farming is a common way to make a living, Pey is a 43-year-old mother of four children. Rice farming is the main source of the family’s income, which she and her husband have been in for 23 years. Her husband supplements the income by working for others for a fee.

This is Pey's microloan with Kiva’s partner. Now she is seeking a loan to pay her son’s tuition fee. She hopes her son will get a good job after graduation.
