A loan helped to buy frijoles, rice, oil, soap and more.

Sinthya Verónica's story

Sinthya, 25, studied until the end of high school. She is in a relationship. Her partner works as a laborer. They have two children; one is five and the other is three months old. They live on their own.

She has been working in business since she was eight. Her mother instilled in her the need to earn a living. She always taught her the importance of studying, but also of working. Now, together with her partner, they have a store which they set up with $100. They have been investing little by little in it ever since.

She starts her day at 5:00 am because her customers start to arrive at that time. She closes at 6:00 pm. Although she sometimes feels tired, she works hard every day because her dream is to provide a good quality of life for her family.

The loan will be used to invest in basic grocery products such as frijoles, rice, oil, soap and more.

She dreams of seeing her children study a successful degree at university. She would also like to have a bigger store, build her own house (at the moment she is living in her mother's house) and with the profits she will pay back the loan.
