A loan helped purchase of supplies for the Christmas season.

Ana María's story

Anita (or "Little Ms. Ana") is 48 years old. She engages in a variety of endeavors that collectively succeed in providing adequate support neither for herself, her 53-year-old husband who drives a taxicab, her 12-year-old son who is in his first year of secondary school, nor for their home. Anita cooks meals, takes in laundry and weaves items out of wool, an activity to which she devotes most of her time and which obviously provides greater income.

Since the Christmas season is approaching, a time of year when she sells more wool products, Anita is urgently requesting a loan of $200 (600 nuevos soles), money that would finance the supplies needed to be able to translate all that creativity into finished products.
