A loan helped to cultivate her land and plant alfalfa.

Khalida's story

Khalida is a 60-year-old, hard-working woman, living in the village of Algeti, in the Marneuli district. She lives with her daughter and son, who are temporarily unemployed.

Khalida works hard on the family owned vineyard, and also rents a plot of agricultural land. However, the income isn't stable and her business needs some investment for further development. After several unsuccessful attempts, Khalida applied for a loan from MFO Credo. Her request was approved within the framework of Start Up program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva, permitting the rural poor to start or re-start businesses.

With the requested money, she will cultivate the land, plant alfalfa and sell it locally. She will be able to generate more income and make a better life for her children.
The family's living conditions will improve, and the family will have enough income to access regular credit products that are available on the country’s capital market, in case of need. Khalida awaits your support.
