A loan helped a member to buy rice.

Sabali Group's story

The 4 members of the Sabali group are married women with an average age of 52 and, on average, 8 children. Most of them live in traditional families in Niéna, one of the villages in Sikasso Circle, the 3rd administrative region of Mali. They are on their 4th group loan with the MFI Soro Yiriwaso in order to be able to satisfy their customers' needs.

Kadiatou, sitting on the far right in the picture, is the group member who sells rice. She plans to use her loan to buy a 50-kilo bag of rice. She makes her sales locally and in Niéna to a clientèle made up of men and women, for cash or credit. She expects to make an average monthly profit of 8 000 francs, part of which will be used to repay the loan and part of which will be saved.

In this group: Abi, Ramatou, Minata, Kadiatou Siriki
