A loan helped to buy more clothes to sell.

Jerry's story

Jerry lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with four children and only one of them attends school. She is not looking after other family members. She has been selling textiles in a retail shop for the last two years, working six days a week. She is also a tailor.

She has requested a loan of 300,000 UGX from MCDT-SACCO to enable her to stock more cloth to sell. Her challenges include seasonality. Her dream is to accumulate profits to enable her to expand to her own shop. She joined MCDT because she did not have the capital for dealing in new cloth. She stays in her house with access to electricity but no piped water. Her major monthly expenses include food and school fees.
