A loan helped to buy drinks like beer and soft drinks wholesale.

Lita's story

Lita, age 49, is a single mother with four children. Three of the children are grown and independent. She only has one child, age seven, living with her. She has her own house in which she lives with her last child.

Lita’s work consists of buying carbonated drinks like beer and soft drinks wholesale. She later sells them at retail and earns her percentage plus what she is given for chilling them. She has been doing this work for five years. She has a small soda fountain in her house. She works alone, and she is the only source of income in her household.

What she likes about her work is that it gives her time to do other things besides working in her business. It is going well for her. She has customers in her neighborhood who know that her drinks are always cold, and they go to her business first. She hopes to be able to continue this way because it is going well for her. Later, she will perhaps expand the business.

This time she is requesting 1,500 soles. She is grateful for the financial support that she is receiving in order to get ahead. She pledges to make her payments punctually. She will use the requested loan to buy drinks like beer and soft drinks wholesale in order to be able to have a greater variety to offer her loyal customers.
