Sr. Milton is 18 years old and comes from a family that has limited financial resources. His family consists of five members -- himself, his mother, and three siblings. Milton began working after the death of his father, at the age of 15. He has been responsible for providing food and paying for the education of his siblings.
Milton lives in the town of Mizque and has been farming for three years. He produces onions, potatoes, and beans in order to feed his family. The surplus is sold at the same market in town where the other merchants offer their goods. He is currently requesting a loan so that he can buy seeds, compost, and agrochemicals in order to increase his production. This will enable him to have more income and improve the living conditions for his entire family.
