A loan helped to buy stock of rice, flour and grains to meet the increasing demand of customers.

Sughran's story

Sughran is a 38-year-old married woman. She has been successfully running a small general store with her husband, who assists her by purchasing stocks of goods from the market, and dealing with customers by sitting at the shop.

Over time, they have become popular in their community for providing good quality products, and make enough to meet their household expenses. Currently, Sughran has requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner, BRAC Pakistan, to buy stock of rice, flour, and grains to meet the increasing demand of customers.

She is expecting a boost in her earnings, and dreams of expanding her business in the future. She is in her third loan cycle with a good repayment history.

She thanks Kiva, its field partner, BRAC Pakistan, and honorable lenders.
