A loan helped a member to buy fruit to make smoothies and popsicles.

Dúo Job De Santiago Group's story

One of the members of Dúo Job Santiago is Glendy, 30 years old, who is married and has three children, only one of whom is currently in school. Glendy makes and sells frozen fruit popsicles. She also sells chocolate-covered strawberries and pineapple and other treats, and a lot of schoolchildren come looking for her when the school day ends. She has a stall in the city market in Santiago, near the elementary and high schools. She works from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and spends most of the day in her stall. In the afternoons, she sells popcorn. She would like to buy blenders so she can sell a variety of fruit smoothies and invent new kinds to attract more customers. Her partner, Delmi, sells replacement parts in the market. They dream of being able to expand the business they have and increase their household income.
