A loan helped to purchase maize flour, rice, beans, sugar, and cooking oil.

Peggy's story

Peggy is a married woman with four children, all of whom attend school. She lives in a rental house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.

For the past four years, she has operated a food kiosk business, selling foodstuffs like maize flour and cooking fat to her neighbours and passersby. She mentioned high cost of seasonality as her major challenge and she dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.

With the Kshs 20,000 she wants to purchase maize flour, rice, beans, sugar, and cooking oil. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
