A loan helped to purchase two more goats.

Kalsoom's story

Kalsoom is a 30-year-old, married woman and the mother of four children. One of her sons is shown in the photo, standing next to Kalsoom. Her husband is working for daily wages and his income is not sufficient to support the needs of the family members.

Kalsoom has been running a business of animal sales for the past two years to contribute to the family's income. She buys animals (goat’s kids) at low prices, grows them up, and sells them in the local market.

For the purchase of two more goats, Kalsoom requested a loan of PKR 30,000 from Kashf Foundation. She is hopeful to get an increase in her earnings and wishes to spend part of profits on providing quality education to her children.
