A loan helped to provide corn crop maintenance.

Fausto Jose's story

Fausto, 58, is married and has three children; he lives in Morazán municipality, Yoro. Fausto has worked in agriculture since he was very young; he’s been growing his own corn and bean crops for 25 years and he sells them in the local municipal market. He currently is growing two manzanas [Central American unit of land measurement] of corn and he wants to get good harvests. To do so, he’s decided to request a 7,000 Lempira loan to buy fertilizer and pay to weed the corn fields. This loan will help him inject capital to provide good crop care and earn good profits from the harvest. His plan is to cultivate more land each time with God’s, ODEF’s and KIVA’s help to give his family better quality of life.
