Makarimal Akhlakh Groupe 11's story

The Makarimal Akhlah economic interest group (EIG) was created on 10 October 2003 in Senegal. The term "Makarimal Akhlakh" means a person who has a good heart and good practices.

The EIG has reached 300 members since 2009. Its objective is to unite its members and allow them to exercise farming and fishing activities, general import and export trading activities, transport, industrial, artisanal, building, livestock farming, mining, fishing, hydrocarbon exploitation, art and cultural, printing, carpentry, public utility services, representation, processing of fishing and farming produce, sale of spare parts, ice-cream making, and bakery businesses, as well as the provision of other services. The EIG also aims to consolidate friendship and solidarity links between its members so that they can obtain the material and financial resources necessary to develop their income-generating activities and benefit from all the advantages relating to the EIG. Within this context a protocol agreement has been signed between the EIG and UIMCEC, to benefit the members of the EIG across the country. The first phase has been applied to a sample of 120 active members, divided into 12 groups of 10.

Makarimal Akhlakh Group 11 is a mixed sub-group with ten members, who all belong to the Makarimal Akhlah EIG and carry out their daily profit-making businesses in the same market. They are represented by Ndeye Coura, a married woman who has worked in retail for eight years selling food products. She is a member of UIMCEC, and has requested a loan to increase her working capital so that she can diversify the food products she sells. An increase in her profits will allow her to improve her family’s food conditions, provide for her children’s education, help her relatives and save money. In the future she would like to become a large retailer in the import-export field, and to run a large store in the market in the Senegalese capital.

Le groupement d’intérêt économique dénommé GIE MAKARIMAL AKHLAH est né le 10 octobre 2003 au Sénégal. Le terme Makarimal Akhlakh symbolise une personne qui a un bon cœur, de bonnes pratiques. Le GIE a atteint le nombre de 300 adhérents depuis 2009. Son objectif est d’unir ses membres et de leur permettre d’exercer des activités de production agricole et halieutique, de commerce général d’import export et de transport, d’industrie, d’artisanat, de bâtiments , d’élevage, d’exploitation minière, de pêche, d’exploitation d’hydrocarbures, d’art et de culture, d’imprimerie et de menuiserie bois, de services et d’action d’utilité publique, de représentation, de transformation de produits halieutiques, d’agriculture , de vente de pièces détachées, de fabrique de glace , de boulangerie et de prestations de services divers. Le GIE vise aussi a consolider des liens d’amitié et de solidarité entre ses membres pour leur permettre d’acquérir des moyens matériels et financiers nécessaires au développement de leurs activités génératrices de revenus et de bénéficier de tous les avantages liés au GIE. Et c’est dans cette mouvance qu’un protocole d’accord a été signé entre le GIE et UIMCEC au bénéfice des membres du GIE au niveau national. La première phase a porté sur un échantillon de 120 membres actifs divisés en 12 groupes de 10. Makarimal Akhlakh groupe 11 est un sous groupement mixte de 10 personnes appartenant au GIE MAKARIMAL AKHLAKH qui fréquentent le meme marché ou ils exercent leurs activités quotidiennes génératrices de revenus. Ils sont représentés par madame Ndeye Coura qui est une femme mariée qui évolue dans le secteur du commerce depuis 8 ans et s’adonne a la vente de produits alimentaires. Elle est membre de l’UIMCEC et sollicite un crédit dans le but de renforcer son fonds de roulement afin de pouvoir diversifier les produits alimentaires qu’elle commercialise. L’accroissement de ses bénéfices pourra l’aider améliorer les conditions alimentaires de sa famille , a supporter les frais scolaires de ses enfants, a aider ses parents et a épargner de l’argent. Son projet futur est de devenir une grande commerçante import-export, et gérer une grande cantine dans la capitale sénégalaise.
