A loan helped to buy merchandise for her grocery stand.

Olga's story

Olga, age 45, is a cheerful and hardworking woman. She lives with her husband Jorge, age 45, in the house they purchased together during their relationship of eight years. Her five children are grown and independent, so they visit her in their free time.

Olga has a grocery stand at the market in her town that is visited often due to the good service she provides and also because it is the first establishment that is open. What she enjoys most about her work is being able to talk with her customers and the other proprietors at the market. Despite the competition, she is the only vendor who also sells ice cream, cookies, and beverages. Olga has been in this line of work for eight years and considers the most difficult part to be having to remain at her stand all day.

With the 2,000 PEN that she will receive from this loan, Olga will buy what she needs for her shop, especially the delicious ice cream that is demanded by her customers.
