A loan helped to buy 12 tables and 48 chairs made out of wood.

Edith Roxana's story

Edith is 27 years old, married, and has five children. She has an eatery at the edge of the lake where she sells food from fish to grilled meat. She has always done business and also sells bread going out every day with the baked goods in the morning. She buys fish from the local fishermen and the other part of her inventory is bought in a city from the eastern part of the country.

Edith is an existing KIVA client. Today, she requests a new loan to buy 12 wooden tables and 48 wooden chairs that will be used to equip her cafe. Currently, she cannot offer a place for her clients to eat there, but only for takeaway. With the dining area, she will be able to serve food there with the advantage that it's located at the edge of the lake. It provides enough shade for her clients who prefer eating there instead of takeaway. The loan will provide her with a great opportunity since there are people that buy the food to eat there and they have to sit on some nearby rocks due to the lack of tables and chairs.

She would like to build a covered porch to protect herself from the rain and for the added commodity of her clients in the rainy season.
