Christine's story

Christine lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with two children and both of her children go to school. She does not take care of other additional family members. She sells secondhand shoes at the market and operates her business on a retail basis. She works seven days a week. She has been in this business for the last year.

She has requested a loan of 1,200,000 from MCDT – SACCO to buy bales of secondhand shoes. Her major business challenges are thieves and seasonality. She is aspiring of importing used shoes and also to expand her business into wholesale.

She lives in a rented house where the family has no access to electricity or piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees and rent.
